CABOCHON BY LALIQUE, A TIMELESS ICON REIMAGINED

For Spring–Summer 2026, Lalique unveils a new chapter of Cabochon, the jewellery icon created in 1931 by René Lalique for one of his granddaughters: “Then you’ll make me a ring with the most beautiful blue in the world”. A timeless signature of purity and luminous form, Cabochon is reinterpreted today in new creations, with the original ring offered in 19 hues from soft translucence to vivid colour.

AN ICON REIMAGINED

With its perfect roundness and radical simplicity, Cabochon embodies a universal style discreet, evident, and timeless. Its soft curves, imbued with grace, confer a silent power that transcends fashion. For 2026, Lalique expands the collection with three new jewels that honour the original design while offering new ways to wear its sculptural crystal form.

THE NEW CREATIONS

  • Cabochon Earrings: A harmonious balance of volume and softness, designed to embrace the ear. Crystal set in yellow gold-plated or rhodium-plated silver, with a luminous presence that catches the light in every movement.
  • Cabochon Leather Bracelet: The Cabochon rests like a signature on a double-wrap leather strap. Softly padded edges, precise leatherwork, and a fine gold-plated buckle add discreet refinement.
  • Cabochon Pendant: A drop of crystal suspended at the décolleté, its fluid roundness and vibrant transparency moving with the wearer. Designed for stability, the pendant is offered on a round forçat chain in yellow gold-plated or rhodium-plated silver, with adjustable length.

A PALETTE OF LIGHT

Four distinctive colours bring character and mood to the collection :

  • Cap Ferrat Blue – the emblematic shade chosen by one of his granddaughters
  • Gold Luster – clear crystal enhanced with a hand-applied luster containing gold dust.
  • Deep Green – an unexpected, sophisticated expression.
  • Red – charismatic.

 

ARTISTIC DIRECTION & LEGACY

Developed under the artistic direction of Marc Larminaux and the Lalique Creative Studio, the 2026 Cabochon collection reaffirms the Maison’s mission: not to create the ephemeral, but to build the icon. By drawing on a design that has endured for nearly a century, these new creations continue a legacy of elegance, femininity, and timeless modernity.
