LALIQUE CELEBRATES THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TOURBILLONS VASE, AN ICON OF LALIQUE SAVOIR-FAIRE SINCE 1926
Launch: June 1, 2026
In 2026, Lalique celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Tourbillons vase, an iconic piece created in 1926 by Suzanne Lalique Haviland, daughter of René Lalique. Inspired by the delicacy of a fern in bloom, Suzanne drew the lines of a vase animated by swirling forms, a creation that for a century has embodied the House’s creative audacity and glassmaking excellence.
THE TOURBILLONS VASE, A TIMELESS CREATION
Graphic, geometric and deeply poetic, the vase draws the eye into a whirlwind of crystal and light. Its striking architecture, founded on a hypnotic contrast between satin-finished and polished crystal, makes it one of the most iconic works in Lalique’s heritage.
A true embodiment of Lalique craftsmanship, the Tourbillons vase reveals complete mastery of crystal work. The sculpted volutes, rhythmic and powerful, capture the light and diffuse it in a play of reflections in constant motion.
Since its creation, the Tourbillons vase has crossed the decades without ever losing its expressive power.
A NEW INTERPRETATION FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL ANNIVERSARY
To celebrate this centenary, Lalique unveils a new version of the Tourbillons vase, enhanced by a delicate and subtle coral patina. This hue highlights the swirling décor, creating a soft and luminous contrast.
This contemporary interpretation echoes the historic 1926 version, when the vase was produced in white glass with black enamel. Inherited from the color techniques cherished by René Lalique, the patina appears here as a tribute to the House’s ancestral savoir faire.
Each piece is handcrafted in Lalique’s manufacture in Alsace, revealing meticulous crystal work in which the contrast between satin-finished and polished surfaces enhances the depth of the volutes and the vibration of light.
A CENTURY OF HERITAGE AND TRANSMISSION
Through the 100 years of Tourbillons, Lalique pays tribute to its history, its creators and its master glassmakers. This creation embodies the House’s unique ability to transcend time, to reinterpret its icons and to create a dialogue between heritage and modernity.
