MAYA HOTEL COURCHEVEL 1850 AND LALIQUE: A POETIC COLLABORATION AT THE SUMMIT
Opening in December 2025
Courchevel, January 2026 – At the heart of the village of Courchevel 1850, Maya Collection and Lalique come together to create a refuge where the refined, Japanese-inspired universe of Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850 meets the sophisticated art of Lalique. This collaboration gives rise to an intimate atmosphere in which each space celebrates beauty and harmony – a high-altitude interlude shaped by craftsmanship and hospitality.
Inaugurated in December 2025, Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850 embodies a singular vision of hospitality, where the refinement of the Riviera engages in dialogue with the poetic restraint of Japanese aesthetics. This intimate boutique hotel features rooms and suites, a wellness area, a Lalique boutique, as well as the MayaBay Courchevel 1850 restaurant.
Designed by interior architect Sylvestre Murigneux, the hotel unfolds as a harmonious haven of peace, offering unparalleled luxury, serenity and elegance. Clean lines and organic materials – wood, stone and bronze – compose a soothing décor inspired by the Alpine landscape and enhanced by the delicacy of craftsmanship. Each space has been conceived to provide comfort and tranquillity through a timeless aesthetic that reinterprets mountain scenery.
Lalique’s artistic signature is revealed from the moment guests enter the lobby. The eye is immediately drawn to a chandelier composed of sixty anemones in gold-lustred crystal. Suspended in a subtle balance, these luminous flowers form an aerial bouquet that embodies the poetic universe of Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850.

Lalique creations also punctuate the rooms and suites, finding their fullest expression in two exceptional spaces: the Lalique Suite and the Lalique Apartment.
In the Suite, a large decorative artwork composed of Merles et Raisins and Lauriers crystal panels rises above the headboard – a true garden of frost, both naturalistic and refined. Above the table and the bar, crystal prisms capture the light and reflect the snow-covered peaks. Lalique lamps and wall lights extend this universe with precision and delicacy.
The Lalique Apartment, spread over two private floors and a surface area of 240 square metres, represents the quintessence of exclusivity. This residence, comprising four bedrooms and four bathrooms, a spacious living room, reception areas and a bar, as well as a massage room, accommodates up to eight adults in absolute comfort. The interior, a true showcase of Lalique craftsmanship combined with Japanese design, is enhanced by majestic views stretching from Courchevel to the surrounding summits.

What gave rise to the project?
The project was born out of the mutual trust between the property owner and interior architect Sylvestre Murigneux, supported by the Maya Collection team, who were already deeply aligned with Lalique’s DNA. Their openness and curiosity enabled the creation of a singular and exclusive project.
What did you imagine for Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850?
We created bespoke crystal pieces, combined with works from Lalique’s emblematic collections centred on fauna and flora – themes dear to René Lalique.
From the entrance, a spectacular chandelier draws the eye. What is its story?
It is a bouquet of 60 anemones in gold-lustre crystal, a reinterpretation of the traditional floral bouquets found in palace hotels. This flower, designed by René Lalique in 1931, was originally conceived as a delicate ornament to be placed on a dressing table. Inspired by Japanese style and the alpine environment of Courchevel, this centrepiece immerses visitors in a poetic and serene atmosphere.
